For 2017/18, there are a number of bursaries available each worth up to a maximum £2,430 which equates to the Postgraduate Certificate programme tuition fee for the Clinical and Health Sciences with Molecular Pathology programme. These sponsored places are available through the MRC/EPSRC-funded Newcastle Molecular Pathology Node (http://www.newcastlepathnode.org.uk/).
The Node is one of six in the UK and is an exciting partnership between Newcastle University and Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals (NUTH) Foundation Trust to drive advances in Molecular Pathology and bring research back into the heart of pathology laboratories. It is funded by the Medical Research Council (MRC) and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) in response to the MRC Molecular Pathology Review (https://www.mrc.ac.uk/documents/pdf/mrc-molecular-pathology-review/). As such, UK-based applicants will be given priority for funding allocation, however we welcome applications from EU and International students.
